Our Group Mortgage Protection program works just like our monthly premium products; but it is designed especially for mortgage loans, which are usually larger amounts than personal loans. The advantage of our Group Mortgage Protection program is that it enables you to insure your loan immediately, provided you qualify. There are a few health questions your credit union member answers.

While most individuals want to pay down their outstanding loans as quickly as possible, the unexpected can happen. TD Loan Life and Disability Insurance¹ can provide flexible protection for your loan obligations at a price you can afford.

If you die or suffer a covered accidental loss¹, the outstanding balance of your covered personal loans and any interest charged can be paid in full, to a maximum of $250,000. Neither your family nor your estate would have the financial burden of paying off your loans.

With Loan Disability Insurance 1, which can be added to your Loan Life Insurance 1, if you become Totally Disabled¹, your regular monthly loan payments can continue to be made for you, to a maximum of $2,000 per month. Your benefits will continue until one of the following occurs - 1) you are no longer Totally Disabled, 2) your covered loans have been paid in full, or 3) you have received benefits for five consecutive years.

You don’t have to be an actuary or even know what one does to understand our CUMIS Direct Term One Life Insurance plan. Our plan is simply a life insurance program with monthly payments that change depending on your age. Choose a $50,000, $100,000 or $150,000 policy and pay low, affordable monthly payments, depending on your age or whether you smoke. Your monthly rate stays the same until you enter the next five-year age band.
